The original shawls are woven in:
Pink version: 1 skein Ballerina Pink and 1 skein Saffron Spice
Brown version: 1 skein Chocolate and 1 skein Teal
SOPHIE is a 4-ply fingering fiber made from a blend of superwash merino (75%) and nylon (25%) with high twist that gives it the ideal resistance for knitting socks and any other type of garment (shawls, jumpers, accessories, etc). It is soft, responds well to blocking and defines the point very well.
Composition: 75% superwash merino, 25% nylon
Thickness: 425m/100g fingering
Recommended needles: 2-3.5mm depending on the project.
Care: you have spent many hours knitting something precious and the time has come to wash it. Although Sophie admits machine washing (wool program <30º) I recommend that you give your beautiful garment the love it deserves with a hand bath with a specific soap or shampoo, that you drain it without twisting and lay it out to dry horizontally in the shadow. Your garment will look like it just came out of the best spa.
